Dr. Terri H. Mozingo

Consulting Partner

Dr. Terri H. Mozingo has enjoyed a successful career spanning more than 30 years in public education. Throughout her career she has been passionately and deeply committed to preparing all children for success. As a lifelong educator, she has a moral commitment that drives her to innovate, transform, and support opportunities to help children succeed. Concepts of equity, caring, excellence, teamwork, opportunity, and continuous growth have undergirded her work in education.


She has promoted efforts to ensure collaboration with educators, families, and the community to achieve various educational outcomes. She has been a classroom teacher, an assistant principal, a principal, area superintendent an assistant/associate superintendent, a chief academic officer, and the superintendent’s designee. In these vast roles, she provided innovative and strategic instructional leadership to ensure exemplary teaching and learning, promote high quality instructional leadership, achieve effective and engaging instruction, and utilize systems to monitor student progress. She also worked closely with leaders in developing and implementing district and school-based priorities. During her educational career, she has led multiple departments and offices in North Carolina and Virginia committed to positive student outcomes. She has served on various planning teams, organizations, and taskforces.


Dr. Mozingo has worked at the state level providing technical assistance to designated schools with a focus on raising student achievement. Paramount to her experiences is collaborating with universities and community colleges to support dual enrollment opportunities and initiate smaller learning communities for students. Her work has been integral to the successful implementation of various educational opportunities preparing students to successfully transition to post-secondary education, workforce, or military.


Currently, she specializes in coaching executive leaders, creating a vision, mission and/or goals, building and sustaining effective relationships, acting as a Thought Partner, building collaborative teams, guiding instructional and improvement planning, and facilitating problems of practice. She has received her certificate as an Executive Leadership Coach committed to transforming education through relationships, reform, and innovation.


Dr. Mozingo holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership from University of North Carolina at UNC-CH, a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from North Carolina State University, and a Bachelor’s Degree from Fayetteville State University. Her dissertation title was: “Semi-Autonomous Work Teams in Industry: High School Possibilities. At the heart of her work is to inspire educational excellence together and this is why it is an honor to partner with Revolutionary ED, LLC on various projects.
