Aaron McCoy
Business Manager - Consultant
Aaron McCoy is an advocate for narrowing racial disparities in education and is a program manager with more than two decades of experience in the public sector. He began his government service in the U.S. Army’s Medical Corps, and after an honorable discharge, moved on to a position as a Program Management Analyst for the Department of Defense. At DoD, he worked in the areas of personnel development, organizational management, and data analysis for multiple military agencies. In that capacity, Aaron was certified in EEO training in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
In 2021, Aaron was hired as the Program Manager for the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. As Program Manager he assisted in standing up the U.S. Commission on the Social Status of Black Men and Boys where he was assigned a number of tasks, including, but not limited to; community engagement, producing content for congressional members, social media, and other web platforms, and the first to develop and write policy guidelines for the new commission. Aaron joined Revolutionary ED, LLC as Business Manager - Consultant to help spread the message of racial equity in schools to improve the educational outcomes for African-American children across the country.Â
He is also the co-founder of a communications consulting firm that creates content to help nonprofits tell their stories, raise their public profile and promote the values of racial inclusivity. Aaron was raised in Akron, OH, with time abroad, and now resides in the Nation’s Capital.
